Welcome to Tempo Theatre’s 2008 "Virtual" season launch. Below are the main points from the launch introduction by current President Marion Burton.
"We provide entertainment to the Canberra region that is of a high quality but full of fun.
We not only provide audiences with a wide range of high quality entertainment but allow anyone to have a go at doing their bit in productions including giving a start to many new young faces which would not otherwise have gotten that chance.
Tempo has been providing this service to Canberra continuously for 34 years . In all that time we have kept our prices as low as possible. As an example Tempo has been presenting school holiday entertainment in April for many years now and our prices have not risen in that time.
Tempo IS a community based amateur theatre group and we are proud of our background and of the standard of theatre we present in those 34 years.
I would like to commend and thank all those people who have worked hard to maintain this level of commitment.
All Tempo productions will be performed at the Belconnen Theatre, Swanson Street Belconnen. We thank BCS and the Theatre Management for their help and support.

Tempo supports GATO (Group of Amateur Theatre Organisations) which advertises local theatre monthly in the Canberra Times.
All Tempo shows are advertised in the Canberra Times and Audition notices are placed in the Times for interested parties.
